As Buffy The Vampire Slayer celebrates her 18th birthday as a TV show, Andrew looks at the first season of the show. With commentary on every episode, your host attempts to look at the first year of what would become one of the most celebrated genre shows on TV but that started as a joke show based on a failed movie airing on a fledgling network and consider why it made such a splash. With a no name cast, an untried showrunner and a goofy premise, Buffy would slay all naysayers by being witty, clever and emotionally charged. So step back to the late 90’s as Andrew looks at the show once described as ‘My So Called Life with vampires’.
